Tecplot Add-on: Compute Eigenvalues of a Tensor

In Contours Issue 39, Scott Imlay talked about computing lambda2 in Tecplot 360. This is the add-on he developed.

Compatible with: Tecplot 360, Release 2
Macro Language: none
Known Limitations: This add-on has not been compiled for HP/UX or the oldest Linux 2.4 kernal, glibc 2.2. Please post feedback to the forums.

Instructions:

Download the add-on and save it in $TEC360HOME/bin
Edit your tecplot.add file and append this line:
$!LoadAddon "tensoregn"
Start Tecplot
An item is added to the Tools menu 'Tensor Eigensystem'

Files: (right-click and save)

Windows DLL: tensoregn.dll
(Copy this into %TEC360HOME%\bin)
Linux, Unix, Mac install images:
- Multi-OS: tensoregn.tar
- linux64.24.tar
- linux64.26.tar
- linuxg23.24.tar
- linuxg23i64.24.tar
- linuxg248x64.26.tar
- macix.104.tar
- macx.103.tar
- sgix64.65.tar
- sun464.57.tar
Extract this into a temporary directory. Run the setup program. This should unpack the library you'll need.
