Re: Tip Vortex prediction for Rotor Case

Hello afdhal7,

You could try using this Radial Slice addon:

Re: Maximum temperature on cutting tool and workpiece

Hello Superpaul,

These forums are for discussion on the usage of Tecplot. Are you trying to load your data into Tecplot?

Re: Createtetzone.dll for Focus 2013R1 64bit

Hello Fosterm5, We do not currently have a precompiled library for our versions of Tecplot later than 2009R2. The source code is available, so if you would like to you are welcome to compile it. Additionally, if you have access to a Linux machine, the Linux library will work with our more recent ver...

Re: Strange Slice Behavior - Boundary Connections + FEPolyhe

Hello kostasp, When a slice is taken, it will draw borders around each of the separate zones. You can remove these by turning off edges. Alternately, you can use the Edge pane in the Zone Style Dialog, and change the Edge Type to creases only, that way you can still see where some suspect areas are....

Re: Interpolation of temperature data to/from Flow3D to Abaq

Hello Carl, Tecplot is able to load both Flow 3D and Abaqus data. The issue is that before you can interpolate, you will need to make sure that the grids align for both meshes. Once loaded into Tecplot and aligned appropriately you can use the tool under Data > Interpolate to transfer Temperature fr...

Re: Strange Slice Behavior - Boundary Connections + FEPolyhe

Kostas,

Tecplot does have some issues when crossing zone boundaries. Could you explain a little bit to me how you created these PLT file?

Re: Data cut-away

Hello nicelayout, What you will have to do is create a new variable called blank. In Data > Alter > Specify Equations you can do this as follows: {blank} = 0 for all zones Once created you can then go into Data > Spreadsheet and change the value of blank to 1 for the specified coordinates. You could...

Re: Strange Slice Behavior - Boundary Connections + FEPolyhe

Hello Kostas, With a polyhedral mesh, there are known issues with taking slices. This is probably the culprit for the strange mesh you are noticing in your first pic. If you are able to create them as FE bricks, we would recommend using that style instead. As for your second case, the discontinuity ...

Re: Strange Slice Behavior - Boundary Connections + FEPolyhe

Kostas,

When looking at the data for your second example, it appears that the boundary connections elements are not correct.

Re: Data cut-away

Unfortunately there is no way to select many points at once on the spreadsheet. You could create a macro if you knew exactly which points you needed and loop it to change each value of blank. Our Scripting Guide is a great resource if you have never made a macro before. What I mean when I say, befor...

Re: Strange Slice Behavior - Boundary Connections + FEPolyhe

Kostas, I double checked the data I had, and you are correct. All of your face connections are spot on. We have determined the issue and our developers will look into making a fix for a future release. There are a few workarounds available, and they all involve changing the data from polyhedral or u...

Re: Controlling the Log axes ticks

Hello gocoolrao,

Under the Axis Details dialog for the XY Line plot there should be a check box labeled Use Log Scale. This should produce the proper tick mark labels.

Re: tecnod112 OK, tecnode112 not OK

Hello Dennis,

Could you just provide me with the line that you are using to call TECNODE112? In our Data Format Guide it provides the following Syntax:

INTEGER*4 FUNCTION TECNODE112(N, NData)
INTEGER*4 N
INTEGER*4 NData (T, M)

Re: Controlling the Log axes ticks

gocoolrao,

What you are going to need to do is uncheck the box labeled Auto Spacing. You can find this under the Ticks and Label tabs. Once unchecked you can then set the spacing to be whatever you want, and it will then also follow whatever number format you have selected.
