animating multiple zones

Postby Frankb » Thu Mar 11, 2010 4:27 am

I have a set of finite element data for the upper domain in the x-y plane, i.e. for those y>=0 in an x range of 0<x<L. Now, I mirrored the data for below the x-axis since the data is symmetric about the x-axis. My problem is, is that the new mirrored data set is in a different zone. However, I wish to animate the two zones at the same time since they are in fact both evaluated at the same time. I have TecPlot 9 and at the moment since the two zones are separate TecPlot animates them at a different time, can I animate the two zones, one the data set and the second its mirror image at the same time?

With Tecplot 9, you'll have to write a custom animation macro. With Tecplot 360, transient data is handled correctly, and you can set it up as I described in the other thread.
